First Impressions

Ruby – Ya’ll it is a magnet mask! I am super excited to try this. The packaging is really nice for the price point of $20. It feels like I am holding something from Clinque.

Missy – I saw a video of this and had to try for myself. I ordered it the old fashion way- direct from manufacturer. It seemed like forever for this beauty to arrive.  I can hardly contain my excitement, I want to get this crazy magnet on my face ASAP.

Application

Ruby – We tried both the handle side of the magnet (which is intended for application and comes in the kit) and the Elf Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool (which is sold separately for $5). My preference was the Elf Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool. The magnet handle was not flexible so I found it harder to apply in the crevices of my face. The Elf Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool was similar to a soft small kitchen spatula and I felt was helpful for applying without the mask all over my hands.

Missy – I tried both application methods Ruby talked about above, but with opposite result. Anybody else ever do any dry wall repairs? It kind of felt like I was putting drywall putty on my face when I used the included tool- but I am pretty good with a putty knife. I got thin but adequate coverage much faster than I did with the Mask brush.  I found both to be fairly easy, with a slight preference for the included tool.

Wait time

Ruby – The directions say to wait 5 – 10 minutes and we waited the whole 10 minutes. It was easy to wait and work on the blog, drink my Diet Coke, and no itches the whole time.

Missy – I messed up and scratch my nose 2 minutes in! Doh! Ruby worked on the blog, I mostly stared at the space that I used to call a dining table.  Now I call it product storage.

Removal

Ruby – This is the cool part!! The magnet comes with these little (…don’t write condoms…) sleeves to put over the magnet while you remove the mask. It was really pleasant with a slight tickling feeling as it came off. I was a fan! The one downside I found is that it was difficult to get into the crevices of my face with the magnet. The magnet is only in the center of the tool and you have to hold the tool straight on for it to remove the mask.

Missy – OMG IT WORKS! the magnet glides over your face pulling the mask right off.  The sleeves needed to be replaced  3 times because they had too much mask on them.  So my guess is I probably over applied a bit. But still, a magnet just removed my face mask. So fun to watch in the mirror.

Conclusions

Ruby – It was SOOO FUN!!! My face feels like I have put on a really high end lotion and is soft without being oily or greasy. I would totally use this again for the fun factor and my face feels really nice. Two small negatives for me is that I wish the tub of actual mask product was bigger and the removal part in the crevices of my face. To me neither of these are deal breakers!

Missy – Yes. Just buy this. You don’t need to know anything else. Stop reading now and go buy yourself this mask, right now.  If you are still reading, you don’t follow directions well. Also, my face feels so good, and by such a neat process!
