KRASR BLASK MASK!

Ruby and I have been super excited about this product since we decided to start this blog.  Will it live up to the hype?

First Impressions

Ruby – We did a fair amount of research on which black mask to try. I am really hoping to love it. I think the bottle is sharp and professional looking.

Missy – Yes! It’s here! It promises to “Deep clean and purify” as well as “sooth the skin texture”.  1.67 oz. for $14.99 makes it one of our more expensive masks to date, so I am hopeful it delivers.

Application

Ruby – It was easy to apply the mask evenly which was SOO nice in comparison to other black masks I have tried. It was sticky, but not overly gross sticky like I didn’t want to touch it.

Missy – For a thick masks, this goes on super easy, making even coverage effortless.  Hopes are high!

Wait time

Ruby – In comparison to other masks we have done recently, this mask has a long wait time at 20 – 30 minutes. I (thought) my mask was completely try at 20 minutes and it really was 95% dry. For me it was slightly itchy at the end, but in a it’s-doing-it’s-mask-magic way.

Missy – A few minutes in I got a face itch. Not really caused by the mask, just a random itch because I know I can’t scratch.  I gave in and scratched and messed it up a bit. Oh well.  It says to wait 20 minutes and I did, but felt totally dry at around 15 minutes.

Removal

Ruby – The mask came off in almost a complete peel which is da-domb! I love that. As I mentioned above, I thought I was completely dry but there was a spot on my cheek that was not dry. The mask peeled around the wet spot, but trying to wash off the spot was like trying to get a red wine spot out of my favorite top. It’s possible, but it’s a lot of elbow grease to make it happen.

Missy – Came off in one clean peel.  Always love that!  I didn’t see as many blackheads as I would like to, but I must say, with as many products as we have been trying, I have very few blackheads these days.

Just for fun, I was able to convince my amazing husband to let me try this on his nose. Amaaazing blackhead removal! Thanks, babe!

Conclusions

Ruby – I am feeling middle of the road on this. It applied nicely, the wait time wasn’t uncomfortable, and it did peel off nicely (mostly). My skin is feeling tighter and soft. I noticed a few black heads on the mask as it was pulled off which is always a win. I would say it was a harsh mask though. My skin was in desperate need of face lotion after the mask.

Missy – This products was very hyped up in my head. It left the “tight” feeling I look for after a mask, but failed to deliver on blackhead removal. It did deliver on removing any dead skin that was on my face. My face was also a bit itchy afterwards and in need of some serious hydration. I don’t think I will buy this again, but will defiantly use up the rest of the bottle (Unlike some other masks we have tried.) For someone looking to remove serious blackheads, this is probably a great product. It’s a mixed feeling from me.
